Grilled Elk Steaks with Garlic Herb Butter
Ingredients:
4 elk steaks (1-1.5 inches thick)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped
Instructions:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Season elk steaks with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.
Grill steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness.
While the steaks grill, mix butter, garlic, and herbs in a small bowl.
Once the steaks are done, top each one with a generous dollop of the garlic herb butter.
Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
