I had the pleasure of sitting down with my buddy Matt Brooks tonight to talk cooking and specifically cooking BBQ. Matt and I met when he was working at one of the top BBQ restaurants in Kansas City (SLAPS BBQ) being one of the top BBQ restaurants in a city known for BBQ is quite an achievement.
Matt has left SLAPS to pursue other opportunities but still competes on a regular basis in BBQ comps.
